ABOUT DANI BANAL
THERAPY APPROACH
Dani enjoys and specializes in working with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and anxiety-based disorders including social anxiety, panic, specific phobias, and general anxiety. She has spent much of her career working in a Partial Hospitalization setting, where she received specialized training working alongside leading experts in the OCD field. Dani incorporates a person-centered approach when utilizing evidence-based treatments of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Family Based Treatment (FBT), a specialized approach to treating eating disorders. Dani works with children, adolescents, and adults, along with their families and loved ones. She believes that engaging a strong support system is critical to success in treatment. Dani strives to create a therapeutic space that includes humor and creativity and aims to build a strong therapeutic alliance with her clients.
Dani’s studies in the field of social work have supplemented her strong background in mental health with an understanding of the person in their environment and unique differences between clients. Dani offers telehealth (video sessions) and in-person meetings with clients.
