ABOUT NANCY JARRETT

THERAPY APPROACH

Dedicated to supporting her clients in their relationships, Nancy believes that healthy connections are the lifeblood of meaningful and satisfying lives. Her experience in a long-term marriage and as a mother of three grown children has given her wisdom, perspective, (and tolerance!) which she draws on in her work. She is genuine, caring and wholehearted. With warmth and humor, Nancy helps her clients explore their challenges and figure out how to cope with difficulties and life, in general.

As a youth and family counselor at a teen crisis program in Minneapolis, she worked to improve family dynamics with a goal of reunifying teens with their parents or guardians. Nancy draws on a humanistic and family systems approach in her work.  She is trained in the Gottman method, Discernment Counseling, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for Couples, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and is currently training in the Developmental Model of Couples Therapy.

Originally from the New York City area, Nancy moved to Minnesota over 25 years ago. She enjoys travel, tennis, watching hockey, scouting out new restaurants and reading for pleasure. But her favorite thing is spending time with her husband of over 39 years and her three adult children.
