ABOUT NANCY JARRETT
THERAPY APPROACH
Dedicated to supporting her clients in their relationships, Nancy believes that healthy connections are the lifeblood of meaningful and satisfying lives. Her experience in a long-term marriage and as a mother of three grown children has given her wisdom, perspective, (and tolerance!) which she draws on in her work. She is genuine, caring and wholehearted. With warmth and humor, Nancy helps her clients explore their challenges and figure out how to cope with difficulties and life, in general.
As a youth and family counselor at a teen crisis program in Minneapolis, she worked to improve family dynamics with a goal of reunifying teens with their parents or guardians. Nancy draws on a humanistic and family systems approach in her work. She is trained in the Developmental Model of Couples Therapy, the Gottman Method, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Discernment Counseling and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for Couples.
Originally from the New York City area, Nancy moved to Minnesota over 29 years ago. She enjoys travel, tennis, scouting out new restaurants and reading for pleasure. But her favorite thing is spending time with her husband of over 40 years and her family of three adult children, a son-in-law and the cutest granddaughter on the planet.
