THERAPY APPROACH
Isabel is dedicated to creating a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental space where clients feel understood, accepted, and empowered to make meaningful changes aligned with their personal values. She incorporates humor, creativity, and mindfulness into therapy to help clients develop practical tools, explore new perspectives, and build greater confidence in navigating life’s challenges. Isabel recognizes the important role that relationships and a sense of belonging can play in creating a fulfilling life. She takes a strength-based approach within a relational framework, emphasizing each client’s unique strengths, experiences, and capacity for growth.
Isabel utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). She also treats trauma and PTSD using Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Prolonged Exposure (PE). Throughout therapy, Isabel helps clients develop and apply skills related to distress tolerance, emotion regulation, values-based living, boundary setting, conflict resolution, and acceptance.
