CARRIE BINDER, MSW, LGSW
THERAPY APPROACH
Carrie (she/her) provides in-person and telehealth services to adults, teens, individuals, couples and families. She follows a strengths-based, person-centered approach and operates from a trauma-informed lens. Drawing upon her innate compassion and curiosity, Carrie strives to foster a non-judgmental space.
Carrie works collaboratively with clients to address a range of concerns including anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), life transitions, grief and loss, challenges with communication and boundaries. She is well versed in evidence based treatment approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), acceptance & commitment therapy, exposure and response prevention (ERP) for OCD, and behavioral activation for depression. Carrie has a unique set of life skills from having worked in schools, restaurants, and community health centers. In addition to providing therapy at Novo, Carrie also works in a hospital providing crisis therapy.
