ABOUT ALAINA WALLACE

THERAPY APPROACH

Alaina’s brings enthusiasm and compassion into each session. Using a client-centered and collaborative approach, Alaina strives to provide each person with an individualized journey geared towards reaching their goals and improving their overall well-being. Alaina believes there is value with therapist-client relationships and creates a non-judgmental and supportive atmosphere.

Alaina has spent her career in an array of agencies, including community mental health, child welfare, foster care, schools and partial hospitalization programs. She has worked with children, teens and families in a variety of care settings and with various backgrounds. Alaina incorporates evidence based treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). She also received specialized training in Family Based Treatment (FBT) utilized with eating disorders such as Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa and Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID).  At this time, Alaina is offering in person and telehealth (audiovisual) therapy sessions.

Alaina is a Colorado native, a lover of all sports, and a food enthusiast. In her time after work, Alaina enjoys hiking, reading at the lake and spending time with her family and dog, Jax.
